Specifications:
Tanzanite is a relative newcomer on the gemstone scene, but it's also one of the most popular. Introduced in 1968, it was added as a December birthstone in 2002. All the world's tanzanite is mined in one small area of Tanzania. Tanzanite comes in a wide range of colors, but it's the bluish-violet stones you want to look for. Pale lavender tanzanites are very popular, but the finest stones have a predominantly blue color with flashes of violet. Tanzanites will change color slightly as you rotate them and view them from different angles, at times appearing more blue or more purple.
All gemstones from True Color Gems are ethically sourced and cut by skilled lapidary artisans. We are constantly acquiring new rare and unusual gems of every shape and size from mines all over the world, so check back often for updates.
