Deep red garnets are what we traditionally think of when we think of garnet, but in today's market many other colors can also be found. Purplish-red rhodolite garnets are particularly popular. But there's also tsavorite garnets with their electric green color that are becoming increasingly popular (and valuable, especially in larger sizes). Garnet is the birthstone for January.
